Friend of the 173rd Applications

Being a Friend of the 173rd grants you extra access on the forums and the public server. This does NOT give you any extra pull, privilege, or acknowledgement on the public server. Additionally, it is a requirement for our most dedicated public players to access our Civil Server Patrol, but again, the primary function of this tag is to get increased access to the community. This is not a badge of honor, a "get out of jail free" tag, or anything else.

Only the most dedicated public players will receive this privilege. The decision to grant or deny a public player's request to become a Friend of the 173rd status is determined by the enlisted members of the 173rd Airborne.

• If an enlisted member of the 173rd Airborne considers you a good candidate for Friend of the 173rd status they will indicate as such by responding to your application with "I give my endorsement."
• If an enlisted member of the 173rd Airborne does not consider you a good candidate for Friend of the 173rd status they will indicate as such by responding to your application with "I do not give my endorsement because [clearly described reason]" 

To become a Friend of the 173rd you must satisfy the following 4 requirements without exception.

1. Existing relationship with the 173rd, satisfying at least 1 of the following 3 conditions: Play on our public servers for at least 1 month, or Maintain a regular presence on our Teamspeak for at least 3 months, or Be a prior unit member (former members discharged Dishonorably or for Bad Conduct are not eligible for Friend of the 173rd status)
2. No previous infractions (kicks or bans) from our public servers. Note that the 173rd reserves the right to exclude any old or minor infraction in consideration of your application (one accidental team kill from a year ago does not doom your application here)
3. Positive interactions with enlisted members of the 173rd Airborne Brigade MilSim Unit on our public servers.
4. Receive at least 5 positive endorsements from enlisted members of the 173rd Airborne Brigade MilSim Unit within 1 week of posting your application.

Note that 1 positive endorsement does not absolutely cancel out 1 negative response to your application. Depending on the severity of the reason for the negative response and the unit member who posted it your application may be denied immediately.

Any infractions (kicks or bans) that transpire after you receive the Friend of the 173rd tag may lead to the removal of your tag (either temporary or permanently).
