READ FIRST: Welcome to 2-1

Welcome to Legion 2-1! I know a lot of information has been thrown at you in a very small timeframe, but it will all pay off in the long run. If you ever have any questions about anything, feel free to speak with me or any of your Fireteam Leaders for guidance. Please read all the topics and information bellow as it will give you all the necessary tools and material that you are required to know.

What I expect of you:

  • Attendance: I expect you to have a 100% attendance record and be there when the team needs you during trainings and the operations. If you can not make one of the scheduled events, please inform your Chain of Command beforehand and put in the appropriate Temporary Pass or submit an LOA/E-LOA.
  • Professionalism: In this unit I expect you to conduct yourself in a professional manner and show respect to those who earned their rank.
  • ALCONS: You must sign all ALCONS and they must be signed with R&U (Read and Understood). ALCONS have important information that everyone needs to know.
  • Operation Posts: I expect you to sign all Operation posts. Operation posts are usually put out Wednesday every week and must be signed before the Operation.
  • Role-play/ Immersion: The core of our unit is based around immersion. I expect you to stay immersive (when applicable) during trainings and operations.
  • Attitude: I expect you to give 100% during every event you attend. Every one has a job to do and we can't do it without team work.

Weekly Schedule:

  • Squad Training - Takes place every Friday at 2000 CST.
  • Platoon Training - Takes place every Friday at 1900 CST.
  • Weekly Operation - Takes place every Saturday at 1900 CST (be on at 1830 CST).

Your next steps:

  • BCT (Basic Combat Training): In order to be promoted to the rank PV2, you must complete Basic Combat Training. I expect you to complete this as soon as possible. Make sure to check the Training Center to sign up.
  • Company Trainings: In order to be promoted to the rank of Private First Class and Specialist, you must attend either Airborne School, Air Assault School, or Advanced Individual Training(AIT) respectively. Airborne school is held on the third Friday of each month at 1900 CST. Air Assault is held on the third Wednesday of each month at 1900 CST. AIT is held on the first Wednesday of every month at 1900 CST. I encourage you to attend these as soon as possible as I would like to see you progress in the unit. Check the Training Center for more information and to see if you're eligible.
  • Staff Positions: I encourage you to consider applying for a company staff position once you finish Day 2 of BCT, as holding one will be a promotion requirement in the future.
